Sav-On LTC partners with healthcare facilities to utilize an existing system or to customize a hybrid system which meets the needs of their team members and clients. Unit dose packaged prescription medication systems promote hygienic medication preparation, enhance patient safety, and provide accountability for each medication dose. In addition, unused doses may be returned for credit in most instances saving money for both clients, and your facility. Prescription packaging with color codes that correspond with the medication times of use can be employed to enhance medication administration safety while reducing the time required to pass doses.

Sav-On LTC is an EMMA^® Certified Pharmacy.

The FDA has approved the use of Electronic Medication Management Assistant (EMMA), a programmable device that stores and dispenses prescription medication for patients' use in the home or in Long Term Care facilities. Only the EMMA^® system combines both the safety and benefits of hospital / acute care systems with the convenience of patient self-management systems resulting in a system that provides the patient with the best of both systems. EMMA^® provides documented and detailed medication administration. A Sav-ON LTC pharmacy specialist can remotely program the EMMA^® system for each patient according to their physician’s dosing instructions.
